Georgia Proposed Property Tax Notices 2016

The Georgia proposed property tax notices have been mailed out by the property assessors offices. While each counties notices are different, they will include last years, and this years market value that the assessor is using to calculate your property taxes. They will also estimate what your property tax payment will be, and what tax rate they are using for the calculation. There is a breakdown of the property taxes showing where the money is being allocated throughout the county and or city. The notices also contain important information about filing your property tax appeal, and an appeal deadline date which is typically approximately 45 days from when you receive your notice. If you think your property taxes are higher than they should be, call ARE Property Tax Consulting Service and we will review, and we are always happy to answer any questions that you have.
